Drop in the no-code widget, connect a supported mailbox or CRM, or build a custom experience on the Avarole API. This page covers the integration paths in the current app.
In the selected agent’s Integrations settings, connect Gmail with Google OAuth. The agent can then search the connected inbox for context during a conversation. Avarole shows the connection status and lets you disconnect it.
This is inbox search. It is separate from the IMAP/SMTP mailbox an agent uses to read or send email.
Email mailbox
Bring an IMAP and SMTP mailbox
Mailbox settings are set per agent. Add the IMAP host, port, username, folder and TLS options to read incoming mail, then the SMTP host, port and credentials to send replies. Set the sender name and address, turn on automatic replies, add reply instructions, test the connection and check for new mail.
Mailbox learning can be turned on for chosen senders. Credentials are never returned when settings are read.
Workspace source · agent tools
Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk
Connect Zoho to an agent and Avarole syncs supported CRM records into its knowledge. CRM actions can search and read contacts, leads, accounts and deals, read tasks, events and notes, create or update tasks and add notes. Desk actions can list, read, create and update tickets and add comments. Zoho CRM can also send a new-lead alert and run a set follow-up.
Desk actions need a Zoho account that includes Desk. CRM writes are limited to tasks and notes. Contacts, leads, accounts and deals are read-only.
Workspace connection · meetings
Calendly and Google Calendar
Connect Calendly for the whole workspace. Imported bookings show in Meetings with reminders. The agent can list meetings, read details, check event types and open times, create a booking link and open a pre-filled booking form. The person confirms by submitting the form. Cancellations need confirmation first. Google Calendar connects from the Meetings calendar setup.
Calendar connections and meeting bots follow your workspace and plan. Avarole Executive can invite an avatar to Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.
Agent settings
Generic CRM contract
In the selected agent’s Integrations settings, add the CRM base URL and API key. The endpoint must be GET {base_url}/search?q={query}, return JSON, and accept Authorization: Bearer {api_key}. The key is stored on the server and never included in the public integration response.
The agent integrations panel currently offers Gmail and Generic CRM. Other CRM vendors aren’t one-click options in this panel.
Website deployment
Widget, Live Site Guide and Page Insights
Choose an agent on the Integrations page, create its embed key, then add its widget.js snippet right before the closing body tag. The script adds a floating avatar button. Clicking it opens the assistant in an iframe. The app fills in the base URL and agent ID for you.
Turn Live Site Guide on for an agent from Build settings. It learns the host site in the visitor’s browser from the sitemap, menus, footer and a short crawl that respects robots.txt. During a conversation it can find a page or section, navigate, scroll, highlight, click, fill a supported field, select, toggle, tour and show choices when multiple destinations fit. The widget verifies steps and asks the visitor to choose when multiple destinations fit.
It asks before risky clicks and form submissions, stays on the host website, and never reads or fills password, card-number or one-time-code fields. A full page load can resume the conversation on the next page. Agents without the Live Site Guide setting have no navigation tools.

Page Insights
The widget loads Page Insights automatically; no second analytics script is needed. It records page paths without query strings or fragments, the funnel steps you name, visitor friction (such as rage clicks, dead clicks and abandoned forms), and the success status of agent page actions. It does not read the text visitors type. Do Not Track, an agent setting, data-insights="false" or window.AVA_INSIGHTS_OPTOUT = true can disable collection.
For steps that happen after application logic succeeds, call window.AvaInsights.step('payment_completed') after your flow confirms success. See the Docs page for the collector endpoints, opt-out details and troubleshooting.
