Plans are sold by conversation minute. Here is what each minute costs, where plans cross over and what you pay for besides minutes.

Key takeaways

  • Avarole Agent is priced by monthly conversation minutes: from 30 trial minutes free to 32,400 minutes on AI Team.
  • The effective rate falls from about 9.7 cents a minute on Starter to about 5.2 cents on AI Team.
  • Below roughly 6,300 minutes a month, you choose a higher tier for its features (handoff, CRM, concurrency), not for the cheaper minutes.

A face-to-face agent is priced by the time it spends talking. That is easy to model once you know what a minute costs on each plan. All figures below are from the pricing page and in US dollars per month.

The plans at a glance

PlanPriceMinutesCost per minuteConversations at once
Free$030, onceTrial1
Starter$29300$0.09671
Business$59750$0.07872
Professional$4998,100$0.06163
AI Team$1,69932,400$0.05244

On paid plans, minutes beyond the allowance are billed per minute at the same rate as the plan, so the rate you see is also your overage rate. Free has no overage.

Where the plans cross over

  • Starter to Business. Starter plus overage costs more than Business once you pass about 610 minutes a month. At 750 minutes Starter would cost about $72.50 against $59.
  • Business to Professional, minutes only. Business plus overage stays cheaper than Professional until about 6,340 minutes a month.
  • Professional to AI Team, minutes only. Professional plus overage stays cheaper until about 27,580 minutes a month.

The last two crossovers are far apart on purpose. If your volume is modest, you move up for what the higher plan adds, not for the rate.

A worked example

Say a site expects 400 conversations a month that last three minutes on average. That is 1,200 minutes. On Business you pay $59 plus 450 extra minutes at $0.0787, about $94 in total. Professional would be $499, so unless you need live handoff or CRM integrations, Business with overage is the cheaper way to run that volume. Concurrency matters too: if several visitors often talk at the same moment, the number of conversations at once may decide the plan before minutes do.

What is priced separately

Avarole Executive, the desktop assistant for leaders, is priced per user: $200 a month for Executive and $500 for Executive Pro. Avarole Interactive, for kiosks and service halls, is a custom quote scoped to your services and locations.
